New Draft Rules

Since there is an obvious problem to our next year's drafting structure - I am deciding to take action and change the rules for the seasons to come.  Right now, your next years draft order is simply determined by the final standings.  Now, here it is how it will work:

-The team that finishes last will DECIDE WHERE they draft
-The team who finishes 13th will decide where they draft next, and this continues respectively through 9th place
-There will be a consolation playoff for people who finish 5th-8th.  The winner of the consolation playoff will then decide next in the order. Therefore, essentially 5th place will pick where they draft after the 9th place picks. 6th Place will be after them, and so on.  This gives the "loser playoff" bracket something to play for so that people aren't throwing games.
-People who finish 1-4th will not change either - they get the last choices respectively after the 5th-8th place teams decide where to draft.  People here shouldn't be throwing games because they are still playing for money.

This is the best way I see to do it.  It will suck the most to be 4th place.

See ya when I see ya.

Frankly, That's Correct

yeah...I only reference this for info like ending rosters etc. Like I just did 10 minutes ago. Although, I wish I could see draft # on that same sheet.

LOL

No one is keeping up with it and to be frank, I didn't expect people to. I just needed there to be some place we could all go for draft information when yahoo closes their fantasy football stuff for the year.

Garrett's Keepers

As of now, the keepers i would go with would be:
Matt Schaub- round 4
Devin Thomas- round 16

ENDING ROSTERS

Fellas,

I just created an excel file of everyone's final rosters. Click the link "2009 Ending Rosters" to view them at anytime throughout the off-season. If you can't see anybody but Nick L's team, it is because you haven't clicked the tab on the bottom with your name on it lol. Please get me your keepers so I can make a file of that already and be done with trying to hassle you guys for shit!!!

Pete's Keepers

Aaron Rodgers- Round 3
Miles Austin- Round 12

Keepers

I'll be keeping

Round 1 - Chris Johnson
Round 6 - Beanie Wells

Keeper

Congrats Danny. Im still angry I didn't win.

Steve I will be keeping:
-Cedric "The Entertainer" Benson (round 8)= great pickup
-Rashard Mendenhall (round 11)= great pickup

Crown me champ and give me the belt for 2010-2011 fantasy

KEEPERS!!!

I locked everyones team from making any more roster moves because I warned you all this was going to happen. You have had plenty of time to make pickups all season, now I need you all to give me your keepers. Remember, you can only keep a max of 2 players and they either need to be:

1 from rounds 1-5 and
1 from rounds 6-16

or

2 from rounds 6-16

The 2010 draft order is as follows:

1.) Nick L
2.) Jeff W
3.) Jeremy S
4.) Nick C
5.) Josh P
6.) Pete W
7.) Andy R
8.) Garrett L
9.) Colin R
10.) Mike Miz
11.) Brooks S
12.) John K
13.) Steve M
14.) Danny O

I am working on getting a document posted of everyones final roster in case people want to switch keepers in the offseason or before the start of next year before the draft. I also need everyones keepers so that I can make a document of that and post it to the site.

I am keeping
-Adrian Peterson = 1st round forfeited pick in 2010
-Justin Forsett = 16th round forfeited pick in 2010

Please post yours or text me or whatever you need to do to get them to me. Thanks.

nonsense

Interesting pete. Hope you like the feet on this font. athankyou. steve congrats on the jay oh be. the income will be very exciting i'm sure. especially from moving off of a college budget which from personal experience...was horrible.

Ravens have a tough track ahead. Lets see where this goes. I'd love to host a ravens superbowl party...P.S. we were thinking about making play off shirts that say "Raydiculous Rice" or something like that with a 27 on it (jeff's idea). would any of you like that? just a thought. seems cool and catchy. love u colin. lets drink this weekend. My birthday is on jan 22 will any of you be available to drink? that'd be cool. 23 sounds old. over and out.

You spelled congratulations wrong...

Thought that title might make everyone laugh. Anyway, you guys can take a deep breath. I'm here and ready to enlighten you with some blog-related info courtesy of my Online Journalism class senior year of college. Everyone that posts on here should use a font such as Trebuchet, Arial or Verdana. These fonts are called sans-serif (without feet) and are much easier to read on a computer screen than serif fonts (Times, Georgia, Courier, etc). Serif fonts are easier to read on printed paper.

I will conclude with: Win and we're in. Lose and go home. GO RAVENS! Oh and so happy Ray Ray (Rice, that is) got the recognition he deserved with his Pro Bowl selection. Happy New Year errybody.

Bored

Well, you know I'm bored when I'm "blogging" about fantasy football with a bunch of idiots like Danny. Well, really Danny is the only idiot, no offense to the rest of you guys.

Anyway, Dan you talk a lot. I will never get twitter because of you. And also because I think it's pretty gay.

So, football. Overall, my performance was mediocre at best. In retrospect I made some uninformed and nonsensical draft picks and free agent pick ups, but lesson learned. I had some good victories, tough losses, and even a tie- sorry Garrett. This season was pretty fun, despite Danny's continued insistence on shoving fantasy down everyone's throat this year in an attempt to overcompensate for the past few years he hasn't given a damn about anything but Family Guy.

I'm glad I was able to squeak into the playoffs and that Pete wasn't. I'm also glad I am doing fantasy basketball. It's more time consuming, but fun nonetheless since I've never tried it before.

I also saw Avatar. Wow. I saw it in 3D- essential- and plan on seeing it again in IMAX because it will beast on a screen like that.

Well, that's it for me. I probably will either never post on here again, or will post in 25 minutes after Dan has some rebuttal for me that I will rape him on later. Love you, Dan.

RomoTits out.

Victory

So, took down the reigning champion, Garrett. You're welcome. and I'm fucking tired man. I woke up this morning in a daze because I was so involved in my dreams. Then stumbled into work piss drunk smelling of booz only to further fuck up any work I had started to yesterday. Consequently, we didnt get nearly enough work through here this week and probably wont tomorrow and i'm still tired. P.S. just kidding about being drunk. Now i'm just rambling. I'm going to take down JKerr this week JEA JEA

Firing

Haha Steves right, at least he almost made it through the season. Steve you have pretty favorable matchups for your WR's this week. Berrian is awful this year and Favre acting like a "Diva" could possibly screw me. Hopefully Benson goes nuts on the Chiefs.

Dan, Chris Johnson is a beasssssttttt.

Ridiculous

That is truly a ridiculous firing, especially since fantasy season was almost over when it happened lol. By the way, the movie AVATAR, jea. That's all I can say. I wish everyone would sign into the site already so I can start posting information about keepers.

Everyone, as soon as the champion is crowned, all the teams will lock as they are. Therefore, pick anyone off free agency now that you might want to keep. I will get together a list of everyones final roster and post it to the site. I will also put together a list of people's keeper players along with draft picks so that people can talk swaps. Sorry if you guys hate this blog thing, but it will be much easier than texting 13 people...especially the fact that Verizon only allows me to mass text 10 people....so I have to send 2 mass texts just to let everyone know. You can see why I like this idea better.

Good luck John, Dan and Brooks....

Fantasy Fire

Hey any of you see on the news about this thing going on that this guy got fired for doing fantasy football at work?? haha Steve sees me on fantasy every single day looking at shit and G chat. I'd be fired right away. Thats nuts.

MIZ

Best of luck to you MIZ, but I really hope you lose. I could really use this money for anniversary and birthday presents coming up.

gold fish

Maybe its just me but I thoroughly enjoyed feeding those fish at the bottom for an unreasonable amount of time. Great addition Steve. That being said, Dallas Clark is gonna run shit tonight jea. I really need it. Secondly, Chris Henry; That is a crazy, semi-idiotic chain of events for him. Ocho was actually crying...so the cocky asshole actually does have feelings.
